WEEK 3:
17 New England Patriots players locked arms and kneeled in protest for the National Anthem: Brandon Bolden, James White, Adam Butler, Brandon King, Lawrence Guy, Alan Branch, Jordan Richards, Malcom Brown, Trey Flowers, Deatrich Wise, Jonathan Jones, Devin McCourty, Elandon Roberts, Malcolm Butler, Johnson Bademosi, and Duron Harmon. Most players from the Defense side of the team and only 2 from Offense. This is the first time the Patriots have protested and comes as a response to President Donald Trump's criticism of NFL players protesting the National Anthem.
Meanwhile, Joe Cardona (Long Snapper), who is in active duty in the US Navy, stood patriotically at attention on the sideline. Tom brady stood with his right hand over his heart and locked arms with Phillip Dorsett, Matthew Slater, David Harris, Dwayne Allen and Cassius Marsh - who all stood for the anthem.
