Carolina Panthers Who Protested the National Anthem
Defense:
WEEK 3:
Julius Peppers was the first and only Carolina Panthers protestor for Week 3. Peppers boycotted the National Anthem and stayed in the locker room until it was over. Peppers said "This was not about disrespecting the military, disrespecting the flag, police, first responders, none of that." - but his actions said otherwise. Peppers admits to protest due to President Donald Trump's comments about how the NFL should fire protestors for disrespecting the national anthem, the flag and those who fought for it. Peppers continues "So I felt like it was appropriate to stand up with them and stay in the locker room." - In other words, Peppers clearly stands with those who are boycotting and protesting the National Anthem - not standing with America.
